Im 16 female and a virgin but im curious how long first times last.. some of my friends have said between 10-60 seconds?? That seems like a really short amount of time, but i suppose its how long you can take the pain for? if there is pain.

For women, often it can take 5-20 minutes to reach orgasm, and you may not be able to reach it through penetration alone.
Guys, on the other hand, especially very young guys, often orgasm within 1-2 minutes. As they get older they learn to control it, and some of us can go indefinetely with practice.
All that being said, including any foreplay, which often plays a big role in a woman's orgasm, an "average" time for the whole event is probably 10-15 minutes - unless you're Sting.
To help with pain, have your partner go slowly, and consider using some sort of lubricant.
Then again, consider waiting a couple years too!

lol. 10 seconds?? I think someone has been telling fibs.
It is usually fairly quick, i'd imagine, as neither partner (if both are virgins) will know what it will be like, and the pain is a factor, it's not very romantic. :P
Mine lasted maybe 2 or 3 minutes, it was the TRYING that took time.

I would imagine it would last as long as the boy you're with does. If he's also a virgin (or even if he's not) he'll probably be done pretty quickly. I think my first time was less than 5 minutes, and while it was initially painful, it wasn't unbearable.

Your orgasm may last that long, but the sex, definitely longer. Like 5 minutes. It's not entirely painful, or wasn't for me at least. It may hurt for a bit in the beginning, but if you just go slow, it should be quite nice.

It depends on the talent of your partner. It begins with kissing and ends with going home. So at least three hours.
Actually longer when you consider the excitement and anticipation.

It will be about 5 minutes... fairly short, unless you and your boyfriend do a little research to understand the process to make it more fun...

As virgin you are so tight that your partner will not be able to hold longer, specially if he is not experienced too. It should be less than 5 minutes, I think.

Seriously m'dear girl it depends largely on whether or not you do lots of foreplay or not.
You can make it as long or as short as you want... There are no set rules.
