Seven years in Texas during the early 1950s. Finding water and forage for range cattle was so difficult we burned the thorns off of cactus so the cows could eat and nourish themselves for survival. Before that, some of the cows ate the cactus anyway, their lips and mouths swollen with thorns.

16 years :-p ha ok well that was the first 16 years of my life.the longest drought i have had since has been 4 years.part choice-part not

8 years without anything meaningful, I had lots of dates in that time, but didn't meet anyone I was prepared to compromise for. I enjoyed the freedom I had in all aspects of my life, I had good friends and a lovely family and the one thing I just didn't seem to have enough of was time, so I didn't want to waste it.

But it is through choice, I can't be bothered to put up with the hassle.

well my longest relationship was about 3 years and 1 week
and the longest relationship i ever hear was of my grandparents, 54 years.

What drought? I was born with relationships all around me of mother, father and lot more. I know you are talking about the different kind of relationship but i am trying to say don't count your life by just those relationships.
