I know this probibly sounds drastic but i seriously don't know what to do! i have tried everything under the sun to ease them!
Pain killers ( every one known to man!), Changing my diet, Drinking more, taking special vitamins, excersize, baths, relaxing, hot water bottles, heat pads, female magnets.
Do you think i should tell a doctor about this? I can't live my life if its going to be like this every month!! I'm 15 and scared! thanks to all who answer! x

I know how you feel. My periods used to be so bad on the first day that I couldn't function in society. At my old job, I cooked food for other people. Sometimes my period would start while I was working and I would end up having to go home early because I could barely stand up straight. At my current job, I called in sick twice because of my period before I finally got help. I'm on birth control now and my cramps have lessened to the point where I don't need to take pain meds, my flow is lighter, and I don't PMS as often. I'm happier and not miserable at all during my period. My suggestion is to go to the gynecologist and have her check out what's wrong. She'll prescribe you birth control since that's one of the best ways to handle bad cramps. Good luck!

RUN, do not walk, TO THE NEAREST DOCTOR.

Something is seriously wrong; a normal period can be painful (mine used to be so bad that I would scream out loud), but don't kill yourself, there is an answer out there!

An Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is the best kind of doctor to turn to for this kind of problem.

Please post a follow-up and let me know that you're okay!

I think you should go see a doctor... it might be endometriosis? Are you on the oral contraceptive pill? Sometimes the pill can help with the pain associated with periods. All the best.

Yes I think that you definitely need to discuss this with your doctor or NP- often starting birth control pills will make your period lighter with less cramping.

Go on the pill, sounds weird but it helps the pain, and your periods less 'heavy'

Yes. You should try progestin only pills. They alleviate cramps and make them seem non existent.
