5:36:34 PM
Basically it called a 24hr clock. Its starts at 1 am which is 0100. It continues to count up like normal til noon which is 1200. Then the PM starts by continuing counting up instead of starting over. For example 1300 is 1PM 1400 is 2PM and so on. It goes all the way up to 2400 or 0000 which is 12 Midnight and then starts over again.

17:36:34 is 5:36 and 34 seconds PM. The military use a 24 hour system. So 0001 is one minute after midnight. and so on 0100 is 1am. 1200 would be 12 noon 1300 is 1pm. This being then 1700 is 5pm. And 173634 is 5:36 and 34 seconds PM.

A cool trick is to just subtract 2 from lowest hour digit.
Soo 17:34 7-2=5 it is 5:35
Example: 14:00 4-2=2 is 2:00 o'clock
after 20:00 have to think of them as tens so 21:00 is 11-2=9
so it is 9:00.
Once you get the hang of it it is very fast and easy. This is useful when you have to do quick calculations like when you are in Europe and most times are displayed with a 24 hour clock!
