MSN ( microsoft network) is an open book. LOL. typical microsoft. Actually I have never heard that either of these opens up to a lot of crap. You have to make sure that your firewall is up and operating and always do virus scans on your pc. I prefer norton for all of my scanning. When opening up a file from hotmail ensure you scan the file prior to opening it. The same with any other email program out there. Some of these email programs actually intregrate your anti-virus into them but always safer to be sure than not.

Yep - they are also very easy to hack.
Try using Trillian - you can still keep your MSN and hotmail accounts! Just import all your contacts and stuff into Trillian

I've heard the same that it can be somewhat 'iffy', that's from the computer network manager were I work.
How accurate it is I've no idea, but I'll have to take his word for it!!!!!!!
