As has been said earlier, an octagon has 8 sides.
In a regular polygon (an octagon being an example of a polygon) all sides are equal in length AND all internal angles are equal.
It's certainly possible to have equal sides without equal angles, or to have equal angles without equal sides.
I'm wondering how an octagon (with 8 sides) can be like a pentagon (with 5 sides).
