when picking the england team sheet...his and pietersen's names are the first on the list...(Monty's should be as well but the selectors hate picking him for ODIs). Collingwood seized his chance when it came about and has done fantastically well to become arguably England's best All-Around player, backed up by his recent appointment to captaincy

Paul Collingwood is defenitely a most accomplished player in the England Team and fully deserves the captaincy of England ODI Team.

In the team, yes, but I still don't believe he is the best man for the captaincy. He lost a few runs in the first Twenty20 by messing up on the fielding restrictions and that could have made all the difference.

Such a shame Straussy forgot how to bat...

Yes Paul Collingwood is in the England team on merit
Because he is key player of team england.That can be proved by its last 2 years statistics.

Yes and it's about time his contribution for England was recognised
He is one of the few players who came home from Australia with any credit.
It took the selectors long enough to include him in the team for the Ashes 2005

He is one of the 4-6 players of England whom has the permenent place in team .. and hes the one of the best and fighters of england

I reckon he is in that small group of players (Monty,Bell,Prior,Cook) who really fight for the win and not just records.
