But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
1 Corinthians 15:13-18

‘Show us a sign that You are Who You claim to be,’ they said. ‘One sign I’ll show you. Destroy this temple, this body, and in three days I will raise it up’ Jesus answered (John 2:19).

Houdini claimed that on the 50th anniversary of his death, he would come back from the dead. So on that date, a group of his followers gathered around his grave in San Francisco, waiting for him to return. They waited and waited and waited. Then they went home.

Jesus uniquely, singularly rose again from the dead. Lots of people make all sorts of claims, but our Hero, our Leader, our Lord Jesus Christ delivered. He came through. And had His offering not been acceptable, our Great High Priest would never have emerged from the tomb on Easter Sunday ...

As the high priest, dressed in linen, went into the Holy of Holies on the Day of Atonement to sprinkle blood on the mercy seat, the people would wonder and wait — for if the high priest was himself defiled, if the high priest was himself polluted by sin, he would be smitten dead in the Holy of Holies. But if he emerged, his linen garments sprinkled with blood, the people would know the offering took. They would know their sins were forgiven.

What about our Great High Priest, Jesus Christ? Wrapped in linen, He was placed in the tomb. All of heaven wondered. All of history waited. Did the Offering take? Was His blood accepted? Because He emerged from the tomb on that glorious Easter Sunday, we know the Offering took; we know His blood was accepted; we know that we are forgiven.

Whether you’re talking to the skeptic on the campus, at work, or in your neighborhood, the issue is singular: Did Jesus rise from the dead? If He did, that makes Him unique in history. It validates His claim. And it means our sins are forgiven. The entire argument hinges on the single issue of the Resurrection.

No, I do not believe in it, and also regarding your second question, I just seen this evening on a major news channel that one of the leading scientist's is refuting Global Warming, and saying that there is no possible way for weather forecasters to predict what long term future weather patterns hold in store for us, that global warming was only a what if scenario based upon some recent observations which could be natural and normal occurrences which have also happened at previous times in the past.

The Sun will eventually expand and become red giant and anybody unlucky enough to be on Earth will be dead but because that is hundreds of millions of years away from now, something else is likely to happen. Humans will likely make the earth inhabitable, or their will be a nuclear war wiping out everything except for cockroaches. There are several things likely to cause the end of the world which will occur long before the sun turns into a red giant.

Earth is big and will endure until the Sun expands into a red giant star in 5 billion or more years. Some species will surely become extinct long before then. Man could well be one of them.

Earth is not the entire world. It is a small planet, with a miraculous phenomenon of nature, plants, and amazing animals, among which one very arrogant and destructive, humans. I do believe that we will manage to destroy the earth eventually, and ourselves, or that we may collide with another star or something, but it is self-centred to think that this is the end of the world.

You have time to write whole words...Global warming is changing this planet and many are dying now, but a bigger threat is a possible collision with another heavenly body in 2012.

yes, we MAYJUST MIGHT SURVIVE till, the sun gets big turns red and either eats the planet, loses gravitational pull, are explode, but thats not for 150000 years, their is also the prediction of THE OPECILIPS witch will be in 2060, but i heard they changed becuse it keeps being rong and stuff.
but we might excape to another unverse to, i mean 150000 years!!! well be advanced beyonde belief!!, but they water might dry up by then. becuse the sun will get closer, becuse of it expanding due to its near end act.
