I am a younger person with older neighbours.
We all get on well and I enjoy having a chat over the garden fence with them. We look out for each other. We've only been here for 8 months but they have made us feel very welcome.
It's a shame that others can't enjoy the generation gap...
Lucky you!

Single man on one side, he's ok, dog barks sometimes, Couple on the other side with kids, no problems. Neighbor across the street watches the house and picks up the mail when we're gone and we do the same for him. Pretty lucky,

i too have lovely neighbours..even though one of them is a Mrs. Bucket!! if i had bad neighbours i would have to move - i like peace of mind & tranquility in my life..which is what i have at the moment with the current neighbours.

I have both sorts .... one where we look out after each other, but don't necessarily "socialize", we offer privacy but with care and watchfulness... a great bloke! The other neighbors, well .. they don't care about anyone but themselves and they are very weird (the guy thinks he is the reincarnation of Merlin the Wizard ... um... think about it!) LOL

it is good that you have neighbours that are not intrusive or bothersome, you can repay their kindness by lookin out for them as well.I respect my neighbours by turnin down my music at night and invitin them to my parties, but i`m lucky that i have reasonable neighbours

I'm not a senior but I just wanted to say that it's nice that you have people to look after you.

I am a Young-person, living next to Old-crap-neighbours.
They are spying, gossipping, lying rubbish, and I wish for them to Eastbourne please. So do the Rest of The World here.
Involuntary euthanasia, by popular-demand, for the old-crap can not come soon enough.
Do not forget, these people were the rubbish of their generation. Let no young people positively discriminate for them, just because they are now old.
-----------------------------------------
You seem to have good people living next door. This is because they are young. By and large we are all better as the generations go by. You are fortunate. You may come and live next to us. You do not have to go to Eastbourne. Your experience in life is very valuable.
