I'm new to bras (I've worn camis my whole life, bras are the most uncomfortable things ever but I'm giving them a chance). I bought a nice nude colored one at V'S S, Body By Victoria (Semi annual sale W00t!) and it says that it should be hand washed. (what?!? in the bathtub?? lol I have no clue). Can't I just buy one of these --> http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?CATID=77006&PRODID=74310 and toss it in that and throw it in the wash? Do I have to set the wash to delicate then? It's pointless bc I don't have any other delicates to wash along with that & I just wash all my regular old clothes on a normal setting.

Sry if I'm making this seem more complicated than it is!!

yes. you should wash in delicate cycle. when the wash cycle is done. take the bra out and either hang it or lay it flat to dry. that's what i do.

It can be hand washed. It can be washed in the machine using a wash bag if you want the maximum life from it. I have thrown my bras in with the laundry for years and as long as the hooks are done up, they seem to come out fine. But there is a risk that it could get caught on other clothes. Your call on this.

Yes you can wash it with other bras (no hose) in a lingerie bag. Just be sure you hook the ends together or they will get caught in everything else you are washing. And it should be delicate cycle, cold water

Depends on the material it is made out of, might be an idea to call up the place you purchased it from and ask them, my girl friend washes all her bra's in the washing machine.

Might be an idea to hand wash it first and then put it in the washing machine in one of those.

All you really need to do is fill up your bathroom or kitchen sink and add a little detergent. Just let them soak for a few and rub the together. If you put them in the washer (in a bag or not) they will lose their shape and if there are underwires in the bra they will never fit right again. If you do wash them in the machine, do put it on gentle cycle and NEVER put them into the dryer. Its a shame to spend all that money on a nice bra and have them ruined in the washer!
Good Luck!

I was just in VS the other day and I noticed that their bras are junk.... I would hand wash in the bathroom/kitchen sink with Woolite and hang to dry... Just to keep the life of the bra...

yes... by all means do wash it in that. IF u want them to last longer... then let them air dry not dryer dry. Every now & then is ok, but eventually the elesctic stretches out.
