a) x -2 √x = 0
=>
√x (√x -2) = 0
solutions: √x =0 or √x = 2
i.e. x =0, x = ±4

b)
The intersection points of y = x and y = 2 √x
are the same as the solutions of y = x -2 √x = 0
i.e. {(-4,-4), (0,0), (4,4)}

x - 2√x = 0
√x(√x - 2) = 0
x = 0, 4

The graphic solution is up to you. This should start you out:
x y=x y=2√x
0 . 0 . . 0
1 . 1 . . 2
2 . 2 . . 2.83
3 . 3 . . 3.46
4 . 4 . . 4
