It sounds like you might want to set some health boundries with your parents. Many people think it's okay just to drop in on someone. I am sure your parents are stopping out of love and because they miss you. When my parents passed away, I was lost and the longer they are gone, the more I wish I could hug them. So, if I had the change to do it again, I would just enjoy every second I was able to spend with them, while they are here.

I take it "Mom" dropped in unannounced again tonite Floaty ??

I'm sure she must feel so alone without "Dad",
so she obviously finds comfort in spending
as much time with you as she can.
You are maybe hesitating to suggest that
she call first, cuz you are worried it would
hurt her feelings ??

No one wants to feel like they are intruding.
You might be able to help the situation by telling
her you would enjoy her visits more if you knew
in advance she was coming, so you could set aside time to focus mainly on each other, instead of possibly being distracted by some of your normal daily routines ?

Everyone wants to feel they have a certain sense of privacy, so I think "Mom" would understand that by just dropping in unexpectedly she might be catching you at a busy time. Kinda touchy situation given the circumstances, but hopefully you can resolve it with no hard feelings.

Best of luck to you on that Floaty !
