I think they actually tried it one, for the sake of science, and just plain curiosity...........(ground control must have been reading way to many racy sci-fi novels......)Mind you, this isn't the real deal, just simulated sex, to test out the mechanics of doing something like that in microgravity.

Of course, without several months of training, most people tend to develop vertigo and motion sickness in zero-g;(all that 0-g puking tends to kill the mood....)

Aside from that, both partners would probably want to be strapped down, or have some sort of restraints. Otherwise they would go flying off in opposite directions when they started getting really frisky. The special sleeping bags used on the shuttle and the ISS might work well....

Another problem, is there is no natural air convection in microgravity, so things would tend to get very hot and sweaty in a hurry. You'd probably want a fan.

You may laugh about it now; but in the future, if people expect to live and work in space for long periods, it's inevitable that they're going to want to get a little busy.....Still, I don't think I would recommend getting pregnant.

Good question. Has anybody had sex in outer space yet? Is there something that NASA is working on but hasn't told us yet?

You think? Is this another service they are doing for this country? All in the name of science, I'm sure. What more can we possibly ask of them?
