Yes, I have. There is nothing wrong with it. We were poor growing up. I wore hand-me-downs, and my mother also made my clothes. Clothes were just materialistic, not a necessity like food and water, and I was just going to grow out of them anyway...

yea, In Pakistan thats how families do it..... It does not have to do with money, I guess it does but then its insulting too if some one like your aunt gives you her kids dress and you say you don't want to wear it.... specially with younger kids like my aunts and mom and all use to give there kids clothes to each other all the time depending on you needed them..
I guess it a joint family system thing

as a child, yes. as an adult, no. there's nothing wrong with second hand clothes, if they are in decent/fairly new condition though!

yeah, i think that's how i became a tomboy when i was younger, cuz my parents couldn't afford to buy me new clothes, so i ended up wearing alot of my brother's old clothes and clothes from my cousin Talia... she was a tomboy too, lol
