I started wearing make-up freshman year of HS, but very little and very light. No base, just gloss, some mascara, some loose powder and a very, very light shade of blush.
I didn't start really wearing lots of make-up until around 17 or 18, that was mostly because all the other girls started wearing more heavy make-up. Get what makes you feel pretty and what your mom will allow you to buy.

Make sure that regardless of what make-up you start using, that you get really good skin care products (face-wash, astringent, toner, moisturizer (with sunblock) and remember to wash your face after wearing make-up. You want to keep that pretty healthy skin.

There's also a lots of videos on youTube that show how to apply make-up in a variety of styles to help you with your look.

I wore a little bit of makeup in 7th grade, but it was only like a little bit of eyeshadow, and that was only if I had time in the morning, otherwise I just said screw it/.lol But in 8th grade, I started wearing mascara almost every day, and near the end of 8th grade I wore eyeliner too....I don't think I started wearing foundation or anything till my freshman year of high school. I have noticed that a lot of girls in middle school wearing tons of makeup and I think that is ridiculous...they don't need a ton or makeup that young...but that's just my opinion.

Well, what most people didn't know about me was that I started to wear makeup when I was like 4 years old. Anyone remember those Dollar Tree things for tots called Petite Miss?...But, then gradually I stopped with the blue eyeshadow and stuff in like 1st grade. Then I started experimenting again in middle school and once in a while in my freshman and sophmore years of highschool. And well, right now, being practically a senior in highschool I regret it because, even with proper makeup removal in the past, my skin got kinda icky and plus all makeups ruin you're skin (those claims of anti aging and crap are temporary! seriously!)..so i just save wearing a clown mask for when i'm in a play/musical. i do like Strawberry Chapstick and sheer peachy/pink lip gloss. Lip stuffs have proven to be the least abrasive of all artificial face/beauty enhancements.

I started wearing makeup in the 6th grade, but only neutral eyeshadows and lip glosses. I think it is best to start small and slowly build as you get older. I didn't wear foundation until I was about 16, and I still don't wear lipstick very often. I think wearing makeup is ok as long as it is very tasteful and not overdone. It needs to be age appropriate. I would say middle school is good to start. Basically when you start shaving your legs and wearing a bra.

Doctors say the later, the better because makeup gets into your pores and isnt very good for your skin.

I started in 6th grade. Seems young, but it depends on your skin. Going into Middle School was hard, and I had acne, so to improve my skins appearance I put on concealer/foundation.

Now I wear light eye makeup as well.
Just remember, makeups purpose is to enhance your natural beauty, and it should look effortless. So when you do start wearing makeup, people should barely be able to notice! Make it look as natural as possible, and wear brands that are better for your skin for example mineral makeup.

People start at all different times i guess.... I personally don't like make up a touch of lipgloss maybe once in a while and I'm good. But 13 seems to be the right age to start.

I just turned 18 and the only time I only wear make up for special occasions. Like fancy family dinners, or slumber party with friends, or once in a great while I MIGHT put some on for Church on Sunday...
But even still, I did not even wear ANY make-up until I was 16.

Personaly, i did start wearing makeup in 7th grade. all my friends, however, started wearing makeup in like 5th or 6th, and even 4th grade. i thought that was ridiculous. just, whenever you think you want to start wearing makeup, you should. a lot of people never even wear makeup...like ever. and that is fine. i say you should just test it out, then if you think it benifits you as a person in any way, go ahead and wear makeup.

I started out when I was in 8th or 9th grade, but when I went to college, I stopped wearing makeup. My skin was so good and I didn't really feel that I needed makeup, but sadly, that came to a stop after a while.

I started in 7th grade as well.
Actually, I wore it for concerts and stuff when I was in 6th grade, but I didn't start wearing it to school until I was in 7th grade, but I didn't wear very much, just like some mascara and eyeliner.
But in 8th grade I really started to wear it.

♥ xoxo
