When important issues can not get resolved and the same hurt happens over and over again even after she/he promises to be more empathetic. Things go good for a few weeks and wham oh it happens again. We have been married 17 years and we still can not seem to resolve the same things that were unresolvable years ago. You finally reach the point where you must accept that he/she is incapable of the simple things such as communication, tenderness, fantastic love making, and finally just being "into" you.
You must ask yourself do I really want to live like this for the next 30 years? To love then moves to a choice you make not an automatise response, especially when your auto response is to run like hell! I wish you the best on your decision.

When you have tried everything possible to work at your problems and obstacles.
When you can look at your spouse and have a completely empty feeling.
And neither of you are happy or have anything left to give to hold the other one up.
And you could honestly see a better life without your partner.

You do not talk anymore
He will not take you out when you ask
you fight constanly and never ever have sex
it is not making love it is sex
there is no emotional connection anymore
Those are what I think would be the signs

You will know when it is over for you. you will never be able to tell if the other person is done unless they outright tell you. But ways to tell u are done is, you find youself going out of your way not to be around them. You have to talk yourself into doing marrital things, etc.

You know it for sure when your spouse doesn't return home and spends the night with his/her gf/bf and after returning doesn't even bother to lie about what happened last night.

when doing little caring things for each other, become duties to b performed.
when even before listing to Ur spouse u know he/she is wrong.

basically marriage is over when a guy cheats, is pratically suffocated with a women's lies etc
a women when she isnt loved she is greeted and she isnt secure emotionally physically

Hi, Let me just sum it up..
when the heart is hardened.
then you'll never be able to love.
again.
Unless you stop the heart from this......by applying love,affection,and most importantly RESPECT.
you have to show him the respect he deserves...
and he has to show you the love you most desire...
