K J appears to have been suspended for some reason and asked me to post her question. She wants to know how to tie herself to a chair that has no arms but she just wants to be tied sitting to a chair just like sitting in a chair. I said it is a bad idea doing this stuff while I work but she insists one doing it and says she will be fine. So help me help her. How can she tie herself to a chair in the posture we use when we sit in one?

1) Before sitting down: take a thin rope, tie one end to a side bar of the chair, make a slip knot on the other side.
2) Take a second rope, THICKER than the first one, tie it into a loop and fold it a couple of times to end up with a few loops. Put the loops through the slip knot, so that the latter is in the middle. You have now a set of rope hand cuffs that are still open.
3) Sit on the chair and tie ankles to the legs of the chair
4) Tie rope around chair and upper legs
5) Pick up the rope hand cuffs, slide them over your wrists (the slip knot is now between the wrists)
6) Move the wrists upwards to tighten the slipknot

You are know tied on the chair.

7) By moving your wrists apart the slip knot opens again, so that you can liberate yourself. Whether this works or not depends on the number of loops and the relative thickness of the ropes. For obvious safety reasons you want to try this a few times with your hands tied BEFORE you.

I feel bad for your employer, giving you money and you're not giving any work in return.

Tell her to go to the library and check out books on magic tricks, and quit robbing your employer.
