'over and over' - not exactly.
But you need to be competent with your algebra, trigonometry and calculus. It is even better if you are confident with how you solve them. That said, remember the saying: 'Practice makes perfect.' In order to improve, you need much practice, solve questions, do not just read them. Find the answers by yourself, as much as possible.
You will notice that you use many (not all) topics in them repeatedly. These topics are thus important in your chosen field of interest.

When you study to become an electronic engineer you will have plenty of practice in algebra and calculus while you study electrical engineering. You learn the basics in math class, but you will really learn "by doing" in later classes.

If you want to be great, be a master of the tools of your trade.
For EE you need to know differential equations both ordinary and partial. Practice those over and over.. and their fundaments of calculus and algebra will thereby be practiced as well.
Differential Equations is where it all comes together. Its awesome!

you have to practice until you understand.
after you understand, you quit that topic then proceed to another topic.
do another practice, then quit that topic
and so on.
There will come a time that you will practice your electronic engineering.
You will do so many practice and you will earn money
this time you will never quit

first you need to grasp the big picture.
i.e. you have some idea to to solve a problem when presented.
to get this kind of "grasping the big picture", one needs
to practice.
