i am trying to make capes?

i am trying to make capes for my christian camp and i want them to be pink and say bible babesbut i need to make 16 of them cheaply and i dont know if i should order them online or just buy the fabric and make them.and if i do order them, where can i get them? cheaply. remember,cheap

You could get a pattern for a red riding hood costume and make the capes at home. But have you run this by an adult? "Babes" seems kind of skanky for church camp.

Go to a fabric store and buy some pink fabric. All you really need to do is cut out a rectangle but with one end curved inwards, like this : l===( (bad box but you get my drift lol) Then buy some of that cheap fabric paint that just writes onto fabric (ask about it at the store) and write it on the back. You shouldnt need to sew anything if it is good enough fabric, but you may want to just fold the ends over and glue them with fabric glue if they are for a one-time use. If you are going to use them more than one or two times, you might want to sew the sides and ends lightly, but it is probably not neccesary. I do think you should change the name, though, because some people can be offended by that if they are REALLY religious. It is ok, though, if you check with the leader of the camp. i would hand make them, because your chance of finding them somewhere else is small. to make them you need to...
1)cut the fabric into the shape you want.
2)make a stencil of what you want. you can buy a fabric spray paint at wal mart.
