I don't think they have made me any stronger than some totally positive experiences could have. Personal strength really depends on your character itself, not the experiences you have. A person with many negative experiences does not necessarily have good character and neither does the person with many positive experiences. In the long run, I believe my life could have had better outcomes and I could have definitely been stronger professionally if I had had some early positive experiences in that area.

It depends on each persons percpetion. A person with negative attitude will never come up as a stronger person. In fact he will turn out to be a bitter person. Only if you have a positive attitude and look at the bad experience as a lesson can you become a stong person

ya, i was born with spina bifida(look up on dictionary.com if u wanna know more about it) and it was really hard to deal with when i was little(i had many surgeries)and still is because i have a huge limp and little kids stare at me and laugh, and various other issues to deal with that come with the disability. although it sucks most of the time, i feel i am much stronger in the long run because i am learning(im 17 in case u wanna know), havent learned yet, but am learning to deal with what i was given and make the best of it. i am also very caring and understanding of other people because i know what its like to need a friend. i am also more thoughtful and i guess u call it "introverted', i live in hollywood and am able to be much more than an outside appearance. last, i am able to take my responsibilites more seriously than other teens who do stupid things like smoke nd drink; basically, ive gotten mature faster than my peers.

of coarse, everyone has there negitive experieances. but these can prepare you for the future in the sense that they can relate to future problems. for instance, getting hit by a car and living could save your life in the future because you know to watch for these things. same on the emotional level too. if you go through a hard time with strong, horrible emotions, it could prepare you for if it was to happen again. say if a person close to you died. obiously that would take a toll on your feelings and put more stress on you but when another close family member died you'd know what to expect. not saying that it would be hard still

I think negative experiences make people jaded and cynical. But it tests your inner strength allowing you to realize how strong you really can be.
