Democrats PAY them to vote for them by giving them free healthcare and food stamps, etc. Pretty sweet deal for those with no conscience or work ethic and who do not mind selling their souls to Satan.

Interesting question, not certain I have an answer for it but I believe it has to do with personal responsibility and a sound moral compass, which many do not have.

I see the stalker is back chasing blonds here, he is missing a moral compass, he stalks women here, tries to intimidate them and then blames them when he gets caught, probably a liberal as well.

Any time you base your evaluation of a political philosophy on the behavior of politicians....you are shortchanging both yourself and the political philosophy! Career politicians are only pretenders. All career politicians are actually on the same side, and serve the same agenda, no matter what side of the political spectrum they claim to be on. That agenda is never in the best interest of the country or the people, either! If you are going to disagree with us Liberals, that is fine, and you are entitled....but please make sure that you understand what we REALLY believe in rather than basing your judgment of us, on any politicians stand. Also, we don't all believe exactly the same things. *sm*

Not sure about jail. I worked in a prison and the only reason they liked democrats is they would be less likely to be put to death. I also know alot of poor people who vote Republican due to family values. The Dems have just done a horrible job of touching the heartland they are too far on the fringe. Shame really they lose elections because the average American doesn't trust either party but at the very least republicans are predictable.

Actually, putting aside the liberal label (I'm a democrat, not a liberal), I'll answer this one:

The democrat party has always been the party of free speech, free expression, and equality (modern liberal agenda aside), and we've made these household values. Even republicans have taken up these causes. It is quite probably the greatest political success of any party in the history of our country.

As a result, those without free speech, without equality, without the freedom to express themselves have always turned to our party to find justice, and we have fought for that.

More than any other political party we embody the following:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

It isn't those with all their needs met that commit crimes. It is unjust that they do, and punishment is important. But who reaches out a hand to them when they look for a place to set their feet and take a stand for integrity and justice? They fall, again, sometimes. We don't give up. They remember, they become democrats.

Republicans serve their purpose in our country. Allow us ours. Those two issues need to be addressed, but there must always be brakes to match the gas pedal in any vehicle, especially one as powerful and great as the United States.

the southern states have a greater ratio of people on welfare than any other region, the last time I checked... and they voted for Bush...

so... go figure?

but... if what you say is true... theoretically... people on welfare hardly ever vote, according to exit polls, and those in jail can't vote...

so... it would seem that there must be a GREAT number of liberals (quite a few more than republicans) then to make up for all the ones that don't vote... since Republicans are either BARELY winning when they do win... or losing, like in the mid terms...

EDIT: and don't you love how many Republicans are like "great question"... with no evidence?

Why are you coming in here with B.S.? I see no sources that prove that so-called "Liberals" are the ones on Welfare and jail.

Since the KKK support the Republican party, dislike gays, did not try to raise minimum wage when republicans controlled Congress for approximately 12 years, and want Affirmative Action repealled, why are more conservatives racist and trying to bring back Slavery?
