It is very hard! Especially hard once we are out of school, married with children. I know how you feel!

You are telling me. I found a new friend at the beach and we have clicked so well. We are such good friends and she is not a bum, or a talk your head off person and we've always got each others back.If I buy a beer she buys one and etc, and it's been the best thing that has happened in a long time.

It is not so hard. always remember that a friend in need is a friend indeed. A true friend is one who shares not only our joy but our tears as well. He/she will always care for us, love us,guide us towards the good and prevent us from doing evils. However it will take sometime to assess a good friend.

Yes, I do know. My best friend and I are currently never talking to each other again, as well as me and my other 2 best friends. Meanwhile, my new town best friends, well one is gone for the summer, and the other is moving to Missouri. So, I feel your pain.

Yes, I do. They're hard to replace.
I make friends for life. I stay loyal & I don't blow them off lightly.
However, I've lost contact with friends over the years, because one of us got married or moved away.

I know exactly how you feel...13 yrs with my best guy friend lost, all because we became single at the same time and I wouldn't sleep with him! I didn't want to change the friendship that we had and ruin it...yet I think I have lost him anyway....Current mood: heartbroken :'o(

A best friend is someone who knows you deeply and who you also know deeply... someone who could probably finish your sentences, someone who knows your faults and loves you anyway. Someone you would trust with your life. It's not possible to meet up with someone and have a new best friend in a matter of weeks... I think it takes years.
So... its pretty dang tough!
