Some fish like Goldfish with the telescopic eyes have been bread that way so they can be sold as unique. Unfortunately, that only works until every pet store carries them. I think it is kind of sad they couldn't have thought of something more clever, like ridiculously large dorsal fins.

Its natural for fish to have big eyes since they can use it for searching for food and to avoid enemies and etc.
