So I'm looking for online Sewing patterns for short jackets. Is there any site that has them posted for free? If not where can i find them at a reasonable enough price? I live in North Holly wood, so anywhere in the san fernando valley area would be good. Oh and im 16 with no job, so when i said reasonably priced I mean really cheap. =D thnx

Most second hand stores, Value Village, Goodwill, what ever the names are, have patterns....most times if you can find a jacket pattern that is your measurement, you can renegotiate the length of the jacket and basic design if you are a newbie sewer. I don't know of any jacket patterns on the net for free...many other freebies, but not jackets!

PS...just make sure all the pattern pieces that you need are in the envelope.

join Joann fabrics mailing list, then you will get sales flyers, and every so often they sell the big three pattern companies patterns for 1.99, simplicity, butterick, and mccalls. also try your local good will store for used patterns, and our public library had a box, you bring in a pattern you take a pattern, and they werent too strict on that. im sure you pay more for a tube of lipgloss than 1.99 for a pattern, and some older walmarts have fabric for a dollar a yard, i got some cool looking stuff yesterday.

I do not know of any place online to download patterns. Wal-Mart, however, carries lots of patterns; McCall's, Simplicity, and New Look. Good luck and happy sewing.
