I mean, seriously! It's been 10 years! And the anime has been showing since when... 1997? And it says that in present, Ash is 14. But the anime has been going on for 10 years... And Ash can't be fourteen cause Kanto and Johto was from 1997-2002 and Hoenn was 2002-2006(These are all Japan release dates). And Ash would have passed like 11- Bdays.... HOW IS HE 14!?

I always wondered where they get their money, I mean it's not like he works or anything. Also why doesn't he go to school. And is it normal in that world for people to decide in 10 seconds to just pick up and start traveling the world. Like misty lol she went after her bike and next thing you know shes following ash everywhere. And she never went back to her house to pack some change of underwear. She probly wearing same stuff ewww. Lol its just a cartoon.

Ash never revealed his age on TV or on the video games, so we can all guess his age. You said Ash is 14, so if the "Pokemon" saga aged just like real people, then he would have been 25 if the creator [Satoshi Tajiri] paid more attention to the character's growth. But "Pokemon" isn't real and is very close to being fantasy, so I'm just going to say that Ash stayed young for the last 10-11 years.

yea it may seem that he is 20 because of how many years pokemon has been on...but in the anime its probably been like 5 years since he first became a trainer..
