Is not possible, at the end of the movie, they are looking for the atomic bomb to close their side of the gate. Mustang already closed the other side of the gate. They are stuck living in our world.

Sadly, I believe the answer is no. They are stuck in our world and the gate is closed from both ends (though we never actually see it happen).

ok to any one who says its impossible because the gate is gone, its not, its closed. but because they cant open it because they cant use alchemy(as far as we know), they cant go home. there are more fullmetal animations coming but none of them are continuations as far as i know, three ova;s will be produced(one of which HAS and has been released), but whether any of them continue it i dunno, but the manga still has more story(different story read from begin) check it out it get very different, including the nature of the gate
