I've tried my gameboy color and games but it doesn't fit. Something's got to fit in there!

you use for 3 thing you use it for to insert a controller pak http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controller_Pak all it is is a memory card for storing saves on games some games don't require it but some do and you can also use put a rumble pak in there http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumble_pak which makes rumbling during shootings in games and for other things also the last thing is a transfer pak http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_Pak you use it to transfer stuff from a gbc game to the n64 its mostly used for pokemon stadium you can upload you pokemon from the gbc and gb versions of the games to stadium

There were two uses for the slot in the back:
1. One was a memory expansion to the game.
2. The other was to transfer data from your gameboy and gameboy color games to compatible games. For example, you could link between Pokemon Silver and Gold with Pokemon Stadium 2. Usually you needed a gb adapter.

you can put some kind of device back there that will allow you to connect your Game boy color games like for pokemon stadium

I don't remember if it was for a memory card or a rumble pack. I'm pretty sure it was one of those though. ;D
