Well i do sort off...
But I RRREEEAAALLLLYYY want to watch the movies.

The first movie FF: Spirits within has nothing to do with any of the FF games.
FFVII: Advent Children however requires you to have played the game to understand all the references and relations between the characters. I never finished the game but I still found it an entertaining movie.

Really until X-2 came out none of the Final Fantasy games/movies have been related to any other Final Fantasy games/movies except for the fact that they share the same name.... however if you do watch the movie(the original)before you play the games... please don't take it as an indication of how good the games are because like most movies based on video games it sucked(especially resident evil....man they screwed that up....). Anyway... if you're new to FF everyone will tell you 7 is the best but don't be so quick to believe them!!! Although the graphics aren't spectacular I still stand by 6 as the greatest!!!
