Our neighboorhood seems to have a rat problem this year. What can I use to keep the rats from eating my marigolds that will not hurt my outside dogs? My dogs also hates cats so we can't use a cat outside....

First step is to make sure that your garbage cans have attachable lids, as this helps get rid of rats somewhat.
Secondly, google rat traps. Even if you dont want to buy the websites products, you can get an idea of what you should or shouldnt buy, as these websites will tell you what is or isnt safe for pets! Good luck!

Are you sure they are really rats? Do they have long skinny hairless tails. Rats are not usually big marigold fans. They sound like some kind of rodent that might be lured by warfarin-type bait in a small enclosure that dogs can't fit their faces into to taste..

Those caged type rat traps wont hurt your dog.

Where in the world do you live? I have not heard of wild
rats in many years. I thought
they were extinct here in the
U.S.
