Ohh... I don't enter it, that would be so invasive - instead, I succumb to it, fluidly melt into it, like a thawing snowman... and then I let it do whatever it wants with me.
Sometimes, it wants to slam me right back on the beach. Oh well, serves me right for being that way.
But other times, I just drift and bob around then, and who knows for how long...

i swin in a nice lagoon in hawaii so i go in slowly, and relax!
