I hope that it is false. All I know is that I get spider bites at night about 7 or more times a year and that freaks me out.

Yes its true that you eat a certain number of spiders within a life time which would include bugs while you are asleep. My daughter read this in a book recently.

This is a myth- spiders don't particularly like people or wet places (unless they are fishing spiders, in which case there are definitely not enough fish in your mouth), so it doesn't make sense that they would just wander in.

i've heard eight spiders in a life time.

Another one, is one bug in a chocolate bar per year....the body is all crushed inside and mixed with the chocolate...gross huh?

Eat? Ingest might be a better word. I can believe it. There are some awfully tiny creatures around and it's easy to conceive of one getting sucked in and not getting out.

Actually it depends how you sleep, if you sleep with your mouth open then spiders can actually get in.
