i want to get one.. which one is the best . im not a gamer but i would want some game.. nhl 07 diablo whatever. and basically AIM. which type// how expensive would it be?

omg, what a bacic question...where do I start? First Mac or PC, if ur smart u want a PC. Go with HP. Thier the best for laptops. U will want a Dual Core processor, 1GB of RAM and a NVidia or ATI Graphics card, stay away from "Intel Graphics". As for AMD or Intel, just shoose whatever you want, its like asking Coke or Pepsi, just prefrence. you Definatly want a >80HD All manufactures put a recover partition on their computers so the bigger the better. If I where you I would go to Best Buy or Curcit City and just look at the diffrent laptops and decide what features you like and what you dont. Look at the top of them, see if you like the feel, does it feel plasticy or like solid metal. Their are alot of thing to keep in consideration for laptops. Just look around and dont cheap out on it, you want something that you can keep for a while.

None of those programs you described use many resources so just about any laptop you get should be able to do all that you are asking. My recommendation is to buy some extra ram when you buy a new laptop. Its not that much more expensive and usually laptops only come with the bare minimum of ram.

Probably around $700 or so... A laptop from Gateway or Toshiba would handle that easily...
