Anything is possible, however if your idea was true, then that means that the entire history of the universe (about 14 billions years worth) was "created" when you were born - that's a lot of objects in space for one person to create, especially if you consider that there are things in space that you don't know about so how could you create them?
That would include the people and things on Earth you don't know about as well.
And if everything was created when you were born, how could you have been born (where did your parents and grandparents come from?)

There is a very good (yet complicated) book about this, by Descartes, called the Meditations on First Philosophy. If you don't know Descartes, he was a french philosopher and scientist in the 17th century.
This whole book's goal is to prove by logical considerations why the Universe we perceive cannot be a deception of our senses, and that it really exists outside of us.
Ultimately, you will find in it the very famous formula : "I think, therefore I am...".
You just need to read the first few chapters to answer your question. After that he's moving on proving that God exists, and he really writes nonsense in my opinion.
Here's a link.
My own opinion is : I'm surprised by the world I see everyday, in both good and bad ways, so it definitely cannot be my own mind's making.
Hope it will answer your question!

The universe is real.
Your concept of time resides in your consciousness.
When you die a trillion years would pass by in an instant.
The universe is a finite entity and will go out of existence long before a trillion years.
The universe is a phase of it's own consciousness,we are the eyes and ears and consciousness of the universe.

Once again we dive into philosophy's pool... :-) All of this, reality, life, you, me: it all depends on your point-of-view. If you are of the suggestion that a rose is red because you see it as red, then yes, the universe will end when you end. It doesn't matter what may remain; you will not experience, so it's not real to you. However, if you are of the suggestion that a rose is red because it's red even when you are not there, then after you are dead and decayed the universe will still be there without you. I can't tell you what's the right answer; that's up to you.

Great question.
If someone made it all up, think about how many trees have been needlessly cut down just to print all those dumb books.
On the other hand, if it is real, and you are just a little teeny speck of dust in the great big thing that is the Universe...Who cares if you die?

No. Our perceptions determine our reality, to a degree. The same things happen to us all, we lose loved ones, we fall in love, etc. but it is our interpretation and valuing of the experience that determines our own unique reality. But the universe will go on whether or not you or I are here.

God created the heavens and earth...how can everything die when you die??? Doesn't make sence...we are ALL subject to death.
Your question should be.......where do I go when I die? I know that I am going to heaven, because Jesus said..." I am the way...the truth...and the life....NO ONE come to the father except through me...in other words....we need to believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and life here on earth is but a mist.

I thik you've been watching The Matrix one too many times. Trust me, this is very real, and the universe won't die with you, just like it didn't die for the tens of billions who have died before you.

From your point of view, it will. But from my point of view, it won't. So either each one of us has our own universe that we carry around with us, or only I do, and you're a figment, or the universe is real.
Now go look up "Occam's Razor", and apply what you learned to these 3 possibilities, and make your own conclusion.
