Wow, I just watched the fantastic movie, "Sophie's Choice" with Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline. The more I watched it the more I feel in love with Sophie!!!!!!! All that she's been through and what not. I know it's just a movie made believe, but what the Nazi regime did to all those Jews, just horrifies and pains me! And can you imagine (if you have children) having to make the same choice as Sophie!!!!!!!! When I started watching I was thinking why it was titled "Sophie's Choice", but when I realized why it was titled that, it nearly broke my heart. She did such a great job of acting and the face she made as they were taking away her little girl, killer!!!!!!!!
So, my question is, have any of you seen "Sophie's Choice." And if so, what were your feelings about such a movie!

OH, I loved Sophies Choice.
The incredible Meryl. OMG, she can do anything, and the way she can grasp on to an accent and the parts in B&W when she is speaking in German are incredible.
I loved her and Kevin Kline. They were so much in love and so tormented characters.
It was a heartbreaking movie.

I saw it many years ago, and while I like the story, I have a real problem with Meryl Streep's acting. I'm always aware that she's acting, and she seems to speak with a similar phony accent in every film she's in. I know she got a lot of praise for it, but all I could think was, "Meryl Streep and her accent again."
