Do things you enjoy
Be around people and interact while refusing to dwell on things that make you unhappy - do something fun, go to a party or other group activity
Sports/exercise are good, they can produce adrenaline and stimulate endorphins

What you can do? That depends on the cause of the depression and if its reactive, internal or bipolar.
