Whats up with dissing Gay people?

Why is it that so many people are dissing on gays? Hell they are human too...sometimes nicer than some of the straight people I deal with...I mean..I saw this story on Fred Phelps...What is he on???

People...We have to get past this crap...If we are ever to become a peaceful people...

Please fellow straight people...Stop Dissing the gays. Learn from them...Not mock them!!!

Christianity is a choice. Sexuality isn't. You can tell how conflicted he is by his bigoted comments. He is so GAY .. he's going to POP!

I believe straight people diss Gay people because, its different than what we're used to. seeing 2 women holding hands while walking down the street for instance. Most straight people were brought up to believe that a man marrys a woman, end of discussion. Not the other way, that 2 women get married, or 2 men get married.
It's a sad fact, but it's the truth=/

Many who diss gays have no contact with gays (that they know of). The media usually show the wildest and craziest types, so viewers think everybody's that way. Still they're so narrow and ridiculous to make such a big deal out of it. Some folks, like Fred Phelps seem alarmingly obsessed with only that one issue. That's really strange and I wonder what a psychoanalyst would say.

Because they are ignorant bigots and can't accept it because they know nothing about it and think it is weird. They have been raised to think that is unacceptable and lots of people don't understand it so they make jokes out of it because they are afraid. And if they are that uneasy about it they are probably a closeted Gay. It is human nature to make fun of something you don't understand. Recently I had a group of boys trying to beat me up, because I cross-dress, most straight men want to beat-up gays, but anyway I was was walking across the street from them and they thought I was a hot chick and started to whistle, they came across the street and sawl my adam's apple and got all pissed of and started calling me terrible names such as "Gay boy" F-----t". My mum told me not to walk past there anymore and told me that most straights are very uneasy so they make-fun of Gays. I hope this assists you on your thoughts about this. I too am very upset about Gay hate crimes and violence., and being "dissed" by the straight community.

It is the un-enlightened of the population who insist on dehumanizing those who are different.

That is why people dis gays, they are dehumanizing them so that their religious edicts make sense... because how can an all loving god love gay people? they must not be people.

That's the thought process on a subconscious & conscious level.

I agree with you. I think we should treat each other in a good way not based on sexuality. I'd still love you if you're gay..are if you are straight..bi or whatever you are
