Can a black woman give birth to a white child?

My point of the question is this? If the oldest human remains were found in Africa & scientists believe that we all come from Africans, and Africans started out black..then why is it that some ppl still believe we came from tan, or light, or white ppl?

Or am I just missing something

I don't think a white women can give birth to a black child unless she was artificially inseminated with a black women egg and a black mans sperm in the egg then it may be possible *very interesting I wonder if its ever been done* The same goes for a black women unless she had a albino baby.

If there is any black blood in the whitefemale or male then there can be a throw back and a child can be black.

By the same token, any white blood in the ancestors of a black male or female could cause a throwback and the black couple could have a white child.

White parents have been surprised when a black child arrives. Not because of infidelity but because somewhere in the ancestors there was black blood and that child threw back to those genes. Pops

Yes. The skin color of a child is determined by genetics. If for example a white woman or her mate has a black person in their bloodline, it is possible that even though many generations have passed, the gene for dark skin could come through. The same thing holds true for a black woman giving birth to a white child. In both cases however, generally the child will not be either extremely dark or extremely light but a blended mixture of the two.

Only if the white woman has an ancestor who was black or the black woman has an ancestor who was white. If those two factors do not exist, and no invitro fertilization takes place or other scientific medical methods to help one get pregnant, nope, aint happening. I do remember that couple from England another person mention who had twins, one was white and the other was black. Similar situation with the Stuart boys where one was blond blue eyed and other dark and brown eyed only that resulted with a mix up the doctors did during invitro. All are adorable.

Now any descendants of those children, if generations go by and their descendants lose sight of the fact that they are biracial and only identify themselves as "black" or "white", they can have white or black children and be quite shocked about it.

Yes, it can happen if one of the parents have a black gene. There are many of us Americans who have other races in us and we don't even know it. Sometimes I wonder if any of my white counterparts are my cousins , I'll never know. I'm not going to get into how because we all know and I don't feel like talking about slavery. But it could happen and also a black woman can give birth to a white child as well.

if the parents are both the "same color" - i.e. what we categorize as "white" but perhaps have had black ancestors somewhere along the line - we carry all the genes of our ancesotrs - those gene can pop up - just like how even if neither parent has blue eyes the baby can if both parents carry the blue-eye GENE. and a black woman can give birth to a white child under the same theory - or if the baby is albino.

Black is dominant so 2 white people with no black genes in either one could only have white children. 2 black people could give birth to a white child only if they have white ancestors and would both have to pass all white traits on....very unlikely but possible. I did see that couple from England, each parent was half black, half white....they had twin girls. One was totally black, brown haired, brown eyed and the other was totally blue eyed, blond haired, white. That was cool.

Yup, because either or both of the parents might have had a parent or even grandparent who was white and the genes could simply have skipped a generation.

And for the same reasons, a white woman can bear a child of color.

It can also be the case that a child born looking very white will darken as time goes by. There are also "white" children who are Black albinos, Black parents but the child has an albino condition.

with mixed parents yes of course or genes that have been from passed ancestors but have not become prominent there is some possible tendency for minor traits . if you want a black child find a black man . if a black woman wants a white child find a white man . the chances are one out of ten if I remember my high school genetics . but I would be more concerned with a healthy one .

Yes, if especially in the USA where there is no true black race they are so mixed with white Europeans, and Indians.
Many white women have been shocked to give birth to a black child. But yes they can do it.
