Okay, this is hard to admit as a guy, but I've broken down at work before, but I had good reason to!

It was my school placement and I was about 18-hours drive away from home. My boss, who I was living with and who shares the same gender, was making passes at me, and my work days started at 5:00am with a 1:45 commute and I wouldn't get home until 10:00pm.

By the fourth day I headed into the washroom, locked the door, and had a little cry. Within a week, I contacted my placement adviser, explained my situation, bought a ticket home, and found a new co-op. My old boss decided he wouldn't pay me so I had a lawyer draw up a letter and send it to HIS boss detailing the entire situation.

His *** was fired within hours.

yes...for the same reasons....I felt so overwhelmed and stressed out and then it lead to frustrations and out came the tears.....Then I just knew I had enough and went into the supervisor's office and told her it was my last day! My point is that if it continues to be like that on a regular basis, it is best you find you job you are happy with.

A car drove through our front door & into my receptionist desk while I was sitting there.

The adrenaline kept me from crying for a couple hours, but at a certain point the near-death experience & the overwhelming pressure of a destroyed office got to me & I broke down for a good 5 minutes.

As a executive for my Co. I have to be there all the time. I had some deaths in the family recently but still had to go in. The tears fall when I'm alone.

No, but I've almost done it.
Now that I think about it I should've just retreated to the restroom because walking around with watery eyes didn't exactly make me feel comfortable.

never let work get to you like that.
the office should be a place where you feel comfortable
relaxed..and enjoy what you are doing.
if it is not..change jobs..life is too short to be in an office that upsets or stresses you to the point that you are frustrated and crying.

i have. at my last job my boss had me so angry that i went in the bathroom and started crying. im usually a tough cookie. i came out of the bathroom, clearly upset and went outside to take a walk and cool off. he followed me outside. what an idiot. lucky for me i had my keys and i ignored him and went to my car and drove home and didnt come back for the rest of the day. needless to say he was very apologetic the next day.

Yes and I hated every minute of it. My boss made me so mad that I just started crying. It was all worth it later that night when the janitor, who is my friend, "accidentaly" threw out the wash water right on top of her.

I've cried at work. I also had a panic attack at work so bad I got taken out by the ambulance.
