The driver side front and back floorboard of my car (2001 Mitsubishi Galant) is soaking wet. I have some sort of leak obviously and it seems to get really bad when the AC is running. I have not got the money to have someone check this out, so I need some ideas on what the problem could be and how can it be fixed..??

if it only does this when the air conditioner is being used its the drain for the air conditioner stopped up on it,you can clean it out by running a piece of a coat hanger in it to clean it out,its located at the bottom of the heat and air box on the inside of the car,and that's what s casing this to happen to it,its not bad to clean out once you find it though,it is a tube that should run through the firewall to the outside, and it will be clogged, once opened up though it should drain good, hope this helps.

The AC evaporator has a drain to remove excess moisture that condenses in your AC system, and yours is obviously plugged up. You need to find out where this drain is and unplug it. It might be buried way under the dash. The water you are seeing is supposed to drain out under the car.

plugged ondensate drain on the AC. Look underneath the car and find the tube and run something up there to unplug it. Then it will drain.

the drain hose for the ac is either clogged up or its off and draining water on the inside of your car, instead on the ground.

Maybe the drainage tube is plugged. Look for a rubber tube protruding down below. Maybe you can clear it out with a wire. LOL.
