I remeber seeing a lot of gloating here just after the elections.
The current 14% confidence rating for Congress is down from 19% last year and is the lowest in Gallup’s history, surpassing the 18% confidence in Congress measured in 1991, 1993 and 1994.

Gotta hand it to Pelosi and Reid. They're doing their part in swinging the vote back to the right. Maybe if they both take a trip to Syria, together maybe, like when they were posturing on the podium as they signed a bill they knew was going to get vetoed. The Democrats must love it - that's what they voted into office. Superb! I applaud them!

They should have made note of the fact that they DIDN'T have a majority in the Senate, nor the veto-wielding Presidency.
They can't do anything because of these facts, and when they do try to reach a compromise (e.g. immigration bill) the right-right-wing won't budge and nothing gets done.
Meanwhile, they pass another pay raise.
I don't have confidence in the vast majority of the members of Congress.

You will not see it. No good lib will ever admit to a mistake. That is exactly what it was for anyone to believe a single word a lib says while campaigning.
Now they have a lib led congress that has not passed on single piece of meaningful legislation.and is full of partisan politics. Congratulations, lin idiots! You have gaurunteed us the next election .

go democrats!!!!!
but being that i'm a political moderate, the liberals are f****** hypocrites on the issue of immigration
and the republicans kowtow to the Latino vote, which only hurts them, because by increasing the Latino vote, the more political power they get, and the increased spiraling of the immigration issue

The new Congress just took over last year so I do not expect them to make any big changes in that short time, especially with Bush vetoing so much.

They got what they asked for. Pelosi and Reid have exposed the modern Democratic party for the ineffectual extremist beholden party that it has become. They are doing more to advance the conservative cause than bringing back Reagan from the grave and speaking at the Republican convention. Go Nancy! Go Harry! You guys are swell!
