I have a very controlling and distrustful spouse who is very computer savy and I know nothing. Is it possible for him to spy on what I am doing on the internet if there is no spyware on my machine? I have spyware detector and my computer is password protected. What I mean is, since we're both on the same wireless network, can he see what is on my computer screen when he's here or record it some way when he's not? I'm not doing anything wrong, I just don't like the fact that he does this to me.

My daughter also has a password protected account on my computer, and he had installed a key stroke logger by getting her password and going in through her account. My spyware detector found it. This is how I know he is trying to spy on me. Since that time, my daughter has her own machine and I've deleted her account from my computer.

OK, would something like Net Nanny be picked up by my spyware detector? How would I know if it's there?

That is easily possible. In fact, he might even be able to remotely control your PC through Log Me In Free (obviously for free) https://secure.logmein.com/home.asp

Unless you really love your husband, divorce him because he seems like a grade A jerk.

P.S. Your husband is probably not as tech savvy as you think, if he was stupid enough to install a key logger that is detected by a spyware remover. If he was really tech savvy, he would have found a better one, or better yet programmed one himself (it's not as hard as one would think, all you need is a little knowledge of the C language!)

I would suggest you go to: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/defau... Choose full service scan and let it install any active x components

This will give your computer a tune up and will remove all that malware and crud.

What I would suggest is delete your cookies, history, temp files and cache when you are finished using it.

Also try to type as little as possible use cut and paste.

Do a virus scan and pay close attention to what it finds.

What the activites of your firewall, look through your firewall and see if you notice the keylogger program and don't allow it. Do this as soon as you turn on the computer.

Hope I was helpful.

If you need some to look at the computer I offer Remote Support:

I will be able to do a search for you and remove the program remotely.

If your husband has installed a Child protection program like Net Nanny. He can pretty much spy on you. Chances are unlikely.. But, it is possible.

I'm going to go ahead and say that it might be possible, but I doubt it. If he were to have you keylogged, then your scanner might detect it and remove it. However, there may be a program that he can use to view your screen, but if your computer's password protected, then it would probably be unlikely unless he knew the password or you left it on.

If he is able to do things like this, he know something no other computer genius in the world knows. He's full of it. He's playing a game thinking he's going to get you to fess up to something he THINKS he knows. ignore it.
