(x^2 + 50x)/x Divide area of painting by width to get length:
[x(x + 50)]/x Cancel out the X's:
x + 50 Length of the painting

Let y = length of painting

Area, A = xy
xy = x^2 + 50x
y = (x^2 + 50x) / x
y = x + 50 .......... here's your binomial!

area / width = length
(x^2 + 50x) / x = x + 50
The length therefore is x + 50.
