Be very wary of anybody who has to tell you he's honest!!!

I'm not a man and when I say I'm being honest I mean it. I guess the same can go for a man. Though not everyone that says it means it. The word honest is like the word love. If you know the person well enough you know if they are being truthful or not.

It depends on his track record. And his honor/integrity. Usually honest people don't need to brag about being honest or convince people. The ones who insist on their honesty all the time are the ones to look out for.
In my opinion, at least.

I cant speak for anyone other than myself. one thing that I have always thought to be true, actions speak loudly.
I never trust some one who has to tell me that they are trust worthy, I never believe someone who has to tell me they are being honest. and if some one has to tell me they are smart? well you know where I am going with this..
most times that I told a woman I am being honest , I was bs about something, ...peace

The statement by itself does not prove honesty. A dishonest person can very easily say that he is honest.

That's right up there with 'Trust Me'.
I don't know about anyone else, but just the fact they need to try to convince me of it makes it a suspect statement.... whether it's said by a man or a woman.
