Burn the road up. Go listen to your rap, reggae, acid rock, heavy metal, disco or whatever you enjoy listening to. Don't just answer questions in our category just for the 2 points saying you can't stand country music. Instead try to lift up others with the same preferences that you have instead of degrading us. This is the country music category and if you don't like country music just simply leave. We won't be upset. Let me know how you feel about this.

Callil, if you're ever in central Iowa, I wanna buy you a beer or three. Well said my friend. You ever notice that most of those morons either are punk kids, or complete idiots who can't spell to save their pathetic worthless lives. I have an idea, lets all go to the (c)rap category, or the heavy metal one, and start trashing their music like they do hear. Then again, why should we sink to their loser levels. Thanks for the post, and you got a few rounds coming to you if you're ever in Central Iowa. Take care, and may God Bless.

Most of you have read my answers and know my leanings.

What most of you don't know is that I grew up on country (old country) but was also a DJ for early Rock-N-Roll. I ran a drive-time show for the number one station in our area of over 200,000 people. I loved it. I loved R-N-R.

After the Buddy Holly era, I lost interest in the music and started coming back to country because of it's love of life and sympathy to the common man.

I am a guitar player and have been back-up to some of the greatest names in the business.

Old Country music has been a life preserver in a sea of "same sound" music. There is always something different around the corner. It is now my passion.

HOWEVER, I cannot be rude to those who do not understand my passion or the music I have chosen. It is MY choice. The choice others make is not something I can control, nor is it something I would do anything about. The differences in life and music is what makes this world go 'round.

I would say this again... when someone asks a question which does not pertain to country music in this section.... either reply nicely or have no reply at all..... How embarrassing to ask a question and have no one answer it !!

Sorry... I'm off my soapbox now... Thanks.

Although you are not allowed to use the "additional information" category to rant, I just have to applaud this.

I like country music well enough, and I'd rather listen to that than the rap, heavy metal and "screamo" crap they have out right now. And if none of this music suits your fancy either, you can always download some old school music from every genre from back in the 80's, 90's, etc... you know, back when music was good and decent.

There are alot of different music genre's today that you can get into if you don't like a certain type . I myself LOVE country music, I'm a huge Chris Young,Steve Holy and Rodney Atkins supporter. I just got back from a week in Nashville from Cma Music Fest and I had the time of my life . If you country lovers haven't went , you should definately look into it. Its alot of fun and you never know who will make an appearance throughout town.

I think it's bad to generalize about specific music types. People need to be more open to things.
I like folkish country and certain artists like Alan Jackson and Dwight Yoakam. I don't like any others, but I give em a chance, even if I am an indie and Bob Dylan obsesser.

absolutely right. the only music I listen to is country. Not just answering questions here, but asking questions here, too, that have nothing to do with country music.

Thank you for finally speaking up! I do not understand why people come here to tell us they hate country. I have never been to another music section and bashed them. It just shows ignorance, because these haters have never listened to country for real and just take it as a stereotype!

Thank you! So many people come in here and degrade us for loving country music. They can all go away.
