they are like america's team
from being the underdog in the super bowl to winning other championships
the patriots are the best football franchise football has seen in a while

NO they are so overrated, and ESPN is always predicting them to win the Super Bowl. Especially that Mark Schlereath guy; he makes me so mad because he is biased since he played for them and any time he is asked what team is good or who has a good qb he answers Tom and the Patriots. I would have answered Peyton or Vince for what teams don't need to worry about qbs. I understand that the Patriots won 3 super bowls and that can be an answer for why they are good, but they have a complety different team now. The reason they aren't in the super bowl anymore is because they don't have their clutch kicker. Patriots are so overrated and its makes me mad that they are always picked to win the super bowl. This year I either want the Patriots to lose their first game in the playoffs or to get killed in the Super Bowl (I would hope that it's by the Panthers since they are my favorite team and lost to them by 3 at the very end of the game).

I absolutely hated the Patriots up until a couple of years ago. My reason WAS personal; they cost me money when they beat the Rams in 2001.
But I have changed my stance against them since then. They are not my favorite, but I have a "liking" respect for them. I have realized that they are a class, no-non sense organization. They dont bring in marquee players (Moss has lost that title) to win championships like other dynasties have been known to do. They work with what they have and have developed a system that keeps on winning. Sure, they have their share of greedy players that think they need more money than they deserve like anyone else, but, they will not put one player above the team for any reason. They truly play by the if-you-dont-like-it-too-bad rule
And even though two seasons have passed since their last SB, they are still THE team that nobody wants to see in the playoffs

I love them, i`m a patfan since 1999 when i see my first foootball game agaist the jets and they won, i live in Colombia an unusual country for this sport and they don`t like me just because they won 3 sb, in the recent years they have really played pretty good, and i understand people that hate them because past won every weekend but these kind of things happen in sports (example Michael Schummacher,Tiger Woods or Roger Federer) and i hate colts .i suppose you`re a patfan i`d like to get your e -mail and talk about patriots. Victor Kiam molded the Patriots into the class act they are today. Ever since he became owner, I've been a casual fan of the Patriots. It's a great organization, even well after Kiam dropped out of the picture.

No, because they beat the Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII.
However, I don't actually hate most of their players, and I have a lot of respect for Tom Brady especially. I do hate Bill Belichek and Robert Kraft.

I personally don't like them just because they always win. Now that we've gone a few years without a New England superbowl though they're ok by me. If they start winning again though, they're back on the sh*t list for good!

I've been a pats fan all my life. Loved them when they couldn't win, still love them after 3 superbowls, and a 4th coming this year.
