I'm not a baseball fan by any means, but I haven't lived under a rock my whole life, so I'm well aware of the NY Yankees. Everyone's talking about how they're struggling and changes need to be made, blah, blah, blah. Aren't they gonna make the playoffs anyway, like they always do?

First off, I've been a Yankee fan ever since I knew how to talk. I'll try to keep this as unbiased as I can. I do believe that the Yankees are capable of reaching the playoffs, on the main factor of our offense. When the offense gets hot, we win. It's plain and simple.
Now, I've realized that the Yanks are WAAAY to inconsistent for that, and they still have to gain at least 8 games JUST for the wild card spot, which will be really really tough.
Most of these people who talk about the Yanks just don't seem to realize, that we have an extremely powerful weapon who hasn't truly choked this year, aka Alex Rodriguez. He's been reliable, even when he didn't have HUGE numbers.
So basically, NEVER count out the Yankees from play off contention because you never know when we'll come back with overwhelming power.

you really can't tell if a team will make play-offs untill after the all-star game. i predict the yankees will end up making play-offs (and then they'll get knocked out of the playoffs just like last season). However, if the red sox keep this up then the yanks will have no shot. But again, wait untill after the all-star break.

You got that right, the Yankees will make the playoffs this year. They always find a way to make it there. Never count the Yankees out.

No! It's either, the Twins, Tigers, or Indians that are going to take the AL Wildcard. Because It's obvious that Red Sox already has their division.
I'm sorry, but as long as the Red Sox win, Yankees are done.

as of right now, they will not make the playoffs. But im sure that by the end of the season they will find their way in
