I see this as a crack based on a person's sexual feelings, hence a hideous, hateful statement.

Because of that new idea of replacing gay with other negative adjectives, the word gay has lost almost all of it's true meaning.

Actually it is a little 90ish. I hear kids say stuff like that now, I didn't say stuff like that in the 80s, I heard stuff like Awesome dude, and gag me with a spoon.

I think saying "that is gay" is pathetic, not because it sounds retro, but it's just lame to use a sexual orientation in order to insult people.

nah they use it in this generation as well, i remember people starting to use it when i was in the 6th grade i think...usually we say **** now...
