Depends on the year you're speaking of. Classic? Hells yes, it worth every penny. New? Depends on your style. The last model GTO with the 6.1L V8 is a little beast. It sounds great, and is very fun to drive. And no matter how many haters say otherwise, it always turns heads. The benefits of the classic are obvious. Benefits of the new one? It's be canceled again, meaning down the road it will be a collector car. To add to the possible collectivity, it was the last true Holden Monaro to be made. Switch the badging and its the same car.

So, if GTO never resurfaces again, you have both the last GTO and the last Monaro every built. Not too shabby. If it does end up making a comeback in a few years, you still have the last Holden Monaro, lol.

The old GTO is definitely worth it. For the new ones, if you can get past the bland looks then yes! It looks nothing like the old GTOs, but it FEELS almost as good. If you're looking for a fast rear wheel drive, then check one out!

my 2006 six speed spice red GTO has been flawless. 12,000 miles in 1 year 3 months. Hodgkiss sway bars SLP exhaust K&N cold air intake Predatior Diablo engine programmer Would of liked bigger wider rims and tires 235/ 35/18 on 8" wide rims are a little narrow. Next modification will be 8.5 inch wheels ft and 9.5 inch rear 245/30/18 front and 285/35/18 rear Bridgstone RE010R tires as money allows. The new gto looks like a grand-am but that's it's secret. It's that Corvette engine and rear wheel drive that makes the car.

I just recently bought an 06 GTO, and its INCREDIBLE!!! Very fast and contrary to popular belief, they DO turn heads!!! Im constantly complimented on mine. The 6.0 litre LS2 engine is smooth as silk and as far as the "bland" looks are concerned, simple and inexpensive mods can be done to make it look better...thats if you dont like the way it looks. Also, with the low production numbers of the 04 -06 GTOs, they are sure to become collector items!!

Old School GTO only. 68-72. If you can't afford a nice one of those, check out the 68-72 LeMans(the poor man's GTO). I have a 72 4 door LeMans & it'll creep up but still get ya!

If it's a real GTO then ALWAYS. If it's one of those new pretend GTO's then pass (unless you like losing it in a parking lot among thousands of look-alike Grand Ams, Grand Prixs, Sunbirds, etc, etc.

If it is an original GTO in good shape, take it. If it's a newer one (2000s), don't waste your time. The new ones are just larger Cavaliers...

If you can get past the way they look it would be worth it.The motor and tranny that come in the gto are both great. This is all assuming your talking about newer gto's.
