How do I find that gig opportunity?

I am on the verge of becoming famous. I don't know where to start, though. To start my music career, I need to first perform locally. But where can I do that, and how? Pretty much all the places that allow public performing are bars. Either that or they sell alcohol and drugs there, and I'm too young to even drink! So, how do I start performing in an adult-filled world?
