i raise home-grown broiler chickens, do i need a license to ship my butchered birds in state or out of state?

i sell alot around my home farm. i live in mn. i am wondering if i need a permit or license because its raw meat? also how would i ship the meat? would i us the postal service or someone else? just wondering, anybody know?

As to the licensing part, I would think that you would need one or more licenses. Check with your local public health department. By the time you finish, you may decide that it is too expensive. As to shipping, I'd recommend UPS, in Styrofoam containers with dry ice.
